Our preschool curriculum focuses on teaching students to read and write before entering Kindergarten. We utilize the A Beka Curriculum, which is designed to teach the fundamentals of phonics, numbers, reading, and cursive handwriting. Additionally, students are taught social interactions skills and given opportunities through physical education, music, computer, and art to explore their world.
Each teacher is state licensed for preschool, and we look forward to providing your student the best in early childhood education.
Berean Baptist Academy's Preschool understands how important safety is to parents. We have a registered nurse on campus assisting throughout the school day. Each month we practice Emergency Lock Down Drills that may at anytime be ordered by our local Police Department. In addition, routine and random Fire, Hurricane, and Tornado Drills are practiced with our students. These drills help to ease their minds in the event of an emergency or inclement weather.
Safety is a very high priority at our preschool inside and outside. Our play areas meet the North Carolina State Child Care requirements, and our equipment is safe and age-appropriate. Recognizing that many students have food allergies, parents feel safe knowing that no peanut by-products are served or sent to our preschool at any time. Epi pens and inhalers are kept in a safe, yet convenient, place if needed for the student.
We strive to maintain safety in all areas, which gives our parents great joy and a sense of security knowing that their child is safe while learning each day. We believe taking these safety measures glorifies God. Proverbs 21:31 says, "The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord."
